I'm sayin' it first...

...it’s another banner day for Canadian / American relations. (see article here)

(Don’t even start with me!)

(I mean it!)

And may I just add that if you're going to report on Canadian spy coinage you might want to go find a picture of a Canadian coin!

I love Canada and all things Canadian. As a kid growing up in the United States, my family took summer vacations in various provinces. You rule. We suck.

O Canada!

Our home and native land.

True patriot love, in all your sons command!

With glowing hearts, we see thee rise!

The true north, strong and free!

From far and wide, O Canada, we stand on guard for thee!

God keep our land, glorious and free...

O Canada, we stand on guard for thee!

O Canada! We stand on guard for theeeeee!

(the money I spent on Washington Capitals tickets in the 80's was well-spent!)

Zanne, you mean you're NOT the one behind these spy coins? I thought for sure you brought them back after your last trip!

Oh for goodness sake. In that same article it states: The CIA has acknowledged its own spies have used hollow, U.S. silver-dollar coins to hide messages and film. So what's the problem? Spies will be spies. It's what they do.

Sassy, I have a lot of vices, but so far, spying is not one of them--although I like the Mata Hari image that comes to mind! ;)

Claire Joy, LOL! Leave it to you to clarify the point. Thank you O Wise One! Hugs!

Hello Zanne,
You don't know me (heck there are days even I don't know me lol!) but I am a fairly regular poster at ivillage--and have gotten to know Courtney and Kim there so I wanted to say hello.
My partner lives in Ontario and I am hoping to be able to relocate there this year.
I've enjoyed reading your blog--that post with the Christmas carols for the disturbed cracked me up (I'm a social work major--a bit of black humor is necessary at times lol!). Best wishes in your journey!

Hi Zanne,
Yes, I'm excited--as well as a bit overwhelmed at times at all the conflicting information on immigration!
I've lived in Maine most of my life (born in New Jersey and lived there til age 7) and it's really all I have ever known but the town where I live--though special--cannot offer me the opportunities that Ontario can. That coupled with being with the one I love; how can I lose? Take care and have a great week! Lori

Lori, it all sounds very exciting! The red tape is never fun but just keep focusing on the wonderful future ahead. Think you're gonna love Ontario--I sure do!!! Cheers!
